In Poland, 78% of people have experienced or witnessed sexual violence. Most of them women, for whom even something as simple as walking home alone at night can carry the risk of harassment or assault.
HomeGirl is an app designed to make walking alone feel safer by connecting women with other women when they need company, for example when heading home from a nightclub or late-night event.
What makes the app different is the model of support. Instead of relying on NGO volunteers, HomeGirl connects women directly with each other, creating a network of HomeGirls who both give and receive support when they need it.
